Many people  perceive health and fitness to be the same; however, they are two separate concepts with distinct differences.

Health reflects a person's state of being and is typically viewed as the presence or absence of disease.

Fitness, however, is the ability to perform physical work or to do physical activity.  The five components of fitness include muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardio respiratory endurance, flexibility and body composition.  It's a combination of these components that leads to the achievement of fitness.
